New Zune Soon Could Be A Threat To iPod Players.
The time is not much far when the Zune would overrun the iPod players.
The updated new Zunes and iPods hit the market in the past week. A Black- On-Black version of Microsoft Corp`s music and video player and a bright Red version of Apple Inc`s iPod Nano. Microsoft and Apple both can take down some notes from Zune.
The Nano ($149-$199) still remains attractive in between the two. The new look is a combination of long, lean features of the previous models with re-oriented 2-inch screen which debuted with shorter and wider 3G model. Its sides too are rounded up, that gives an oval-esque shape. The new Nano is available in a variety of bright colors which would catch attention of the one`s that want to buy something different from the crowd.
The latest Zune($150-$200) is flash memory based is available with some new color options. But its not as loud and overall as compared to the one Microsoft introduced in October. It is 3.6 inch tall and one third inch thick. Its of the same height as of Nano but visually looks more bulky.
If we do not consider the looks, the major difference is in their new features such as wireless music downloads and streaming on Zune and the new accelerometer that makes song shuffling, gaming and image viewing much easier on Nano much easier.
Zune has always given its users a feature of wireless connectivity though it is limited to sharing songs within Zune users and to synchronizing music video`s and photos with PC`s. In the latest Zune, the wireless feature has been expanded for able to use it in Wi Fi zones, users can access Zune Market Place online music store directly from the devices. The Marketplace feature is easy and satisfying. The feature lets one search by lists of top songs. You can even download songs from the built in FM radio.
