Types of ftp clients ::

1. Browserbase_ftp
2. Ws_ftp

3. Cute_ftp
4. Smart_ftp

Broswerbase ftp :: You can use this ftp cleint as follows::

- Go to browser ::
- Enter the following URL in the browser ::
- ftp://username@domainname
- This will prompt you for username and password.
- Enter your (login details) i.e. username and password and you will be connected to ftp.

Ws_ftp :: You can use this ftp cleint as follows::

- Go to WS_FTP PRO
- Go to file >> quick connect
- A session login window pops up
- Enter the details as follows ::
- Hostname :: IP/Domainname
- UserID:: username
- Password :: ******
- Port :: 21

- click on go
- You will be connected to ftp
From there you can upload and download files.

Cute_ftp :: You can use this ftp cleint as follows::

- Go to Cute_ftp
- Open Cute FTP and choose File then Site Manager.
- Click on the New Button.
- Fill in the information requested. Host Address is your domain name.
- Also enter your username and password.
- Make sure FTP port is set to 21 and click on the Edit button.
- Under the General Tab, type in public_html for the
Default Remote Directory and click ok.
- Click the Connect button.

smart_ftp :: You can use this ftp cleint as follows::

- Go to Smart_ftp
- To configure SmartFTP as easily as possible, you can use its quick connect option.
- Open SmartFTP.
- Type in your domain name for address. Also type in your login name and password.
- Make sure the port is set to 21. Click Connect.
- You will notice a tab called session queue. Click it.
Notice the white area where the queue is displayed.
- Right-click in that white area and choose Add.
- Select a file to upload and click Open.
- You will notice that the file is now in the session queue.
- In the right pane, make sure you open the public_html folder
so the transfer goes into that folder.
- Right-click in the session queue area again and choose Transfer.
Your file will be uploaded.
