Lock files by winrar.

by @ 5:48 pm. Filed under Blogging, Server Security, Windows Web Hosting

Greetings,

If u want to lock a file with a password then you can do so using winrar. Almost all archives support giving password, including WinZip, 7-Zip and it’s not something special with WinRar. Bt WinRar is more comfortable then any other.
And if you are setting access like this, it is better you set the compression level to “Store”, which will make the compression and decompression faster, since the main aim here is to set a password.

1) Right click on the file for which u want the password to b put.
2) Click on “Add to Archive”.
3) Then go to Advanced tab.
4)Click on set password…choose your password.
5) Click ok.
6) A winrar file with your filename will be created.
7) Next u may delete the original file, as you have now compressed it with a password.
8) Anyone trying to open the rar file won’t be able to, unless he knows the password.

So, no needs of folder lock software.
Enjoy your privacy guys….

Basics of hacking.

by @ 10:19 pm. Filed under Server Security, Dedicated Server Hosting, Linux Hosting, Windows Web Hosting

Hello,

If you want to be a real hacker within short span of time then you can’t learn hacking in just 1 stroke…u need to understand to coding of C or the basics of the system as well as networking to learn any other languages
Hacking and Hacker
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Hacking is the organised or unorganised access of another computer in a network. The network can be LAN/WAN/MAN.According to my knowledge I think that Russians are the first hackers. But now U.S.A and other countries stand best for it. Hackers are the people who hack a system in network.

There are three types of hackers. They are :-
1) White-Hat Hackers
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
This are the hackers who hack a network to check the security holes. He use his knowledge to make better security for users. He share his knowledge with others.Ethical hackers or simply hackers are under this group.

2) Black-Hat Hackers
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
This are the hackers who hack a network and distroy all he wants and he do harm to every one.He works for black undergrounds. He create viruses, worms and he bombs anonymous mails, and he uses D.O.S (Denial Of Service) attack to make a server hang and become offline. He is called Cracker. If you see some sites with skulls and some XXX pictures it can be crackers site.He don’t want to share his knowledge and he want to misguide newbies to nithing and fed-up with disappointment.

3) Brown-Hat Hackers
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
This are the people who are in between Hackers and Crackers. They some times hack and else crack. They are cool people and share there knowledge to there friends or he people of his country. I think you got some ideas about hackers and crackers. So beware !!! There are more other peoples in this cyber world like Script Kiddies,Lamers etc..Script Kiddies are the people who uses others tools and others exploits to hack. They don’t want to know more about hacking and they don’t want to study hacking but want to hack. They are the people who don’t think and are the most fuckiest among proclaimed hackers.
Lamers are the real fools who say that they are hacker and they are going to hack you and kill your system. They fires that they can hack mail passwords and get inside your account. They simply ‘Blah…Blah…Blah’. But this idiots can’t do anything. They send viruses and worms they get and don’t know even the basics of hacking. They will never become a hacker or cracker. They will simply get caught by the police after some lamer attempts.

So this is the basic of hackers and hacking. The one important thing in hacking is that you should have patients. The studying of hacking takes years and you are always
studying and sharing.

Enjoy..

by @ 5:57 pm. Filed under Windows Web Hosting

Hello micfo members,

Well if you are searching for the “.exe” of windows so that you can run that directly from the windows run command then here it is.
This is not a comprehensive list. But it has the standard processes
as well as process names from popular applications.
Here goes…

Acrobat Assistant that is used when printing documents to a PDF. The
process should not be removed while converting documents to PDF.

protect your PC.

csrss.exe

System process that is the main executable for the Microsoft Client /
Server Runtim Server Subsystem. It should not be shut down.

ctfmon.exe

Non-essential system process. If you’re using only English as the
language, then it is not needed. However, it’s recommended to leave
it alone.

explorer.exe

This must always be running in the background. It’s a user interface
process that runs the windows graphical shell for the desktop, task
bar, and Start menu.

iexplore.exe

Internet Explorer browser..

lsass.exe

Local Security Authority Service is a Windows security-related system
process for handling local security and login policies.

of the Windows operating system. If you try to kill it, it will be
difficult… hence, the importance of leaving it be.

It’s a system file.

svchost.exe x 6

You may have more than six appearances of this process or less. It’s
there multiple times to handle processes executed from DLLs. Leave it
there.

This is a file that stores information related to local hardware
settings in the registry under `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE’. Kill it and kiss
your PC’s stability bye bye.

System Idle Process

won’t go away no matter how hard you try. Don’t try it, OK?

Clientexec: Crontab is not available in your system

by @ 10:31 pm. Filed under cPanel Hosting, Web Hosting Articles, Hosting Support, Linux Hosting, Windows Web Hosting

Hello,

If you are getting below mentioned error in your client exec

NOTICE: Crontab is not available in your system or you don’t have permissions to use it.
If you receive

If you want it to run from there then you can set it by going to /etc/cron.deny file for the user nobody and remove it.

Its the setting in client exec that allows you to set the cron job for your client exec system. But as the cron client exec set from there is under the ownerhsip of nobody we usually do not allow the cron to run under nobody ownership. But its risky to allow the nobody user to set the cron to run.

So its alwasy better to set the cron from your hosting control panel.

IIS fails to start multiple sites on same IP & po

by @ 1:24 pm. Filed under Windows Web Hosting

This could be one of the solutions to the standard problem are facing,we that of the name based Web Sites not starting on the same shared IP and Port 80

Host headers is what allows you do do name based Web Hosting. ie IIS looks at the httpd header information for the hostname and returns the correct site depending on that information.

Webppliance automatically sets up web host

headers for the domain.com and www.domain.com

If you add additional web host headers (say you want domain.net aliased to domain.com) remember that Ensim does not add the additional domain to dns. You have to add that manually.

So, the next time we come across such a situation (which is not to infrequent as far as I remember), please try to implement the above and check out it it does really work.

How to configure php for windows

by @ 1:21 pm. Filed under Windows Web Hosting

Download Windows binary for the latest version of PHP. Once you’ve downloaded it, unzip it into a C:\, rename the folder to “php”.

Open the PHP.INI-DIST file from C:\PHP folder, locate the following line

;cgi.force_redirect = 1

We need to uncomment this line and change the setting to 0 as shown below to run PHP under IIS, do the necessary changes and save the file as php.ini in your windows folder (C:\WINNT on my computer)

cgi.force_redirect = 0

Check the following link for configuring the IIS for php:
