Add-on Domain- How you can Add
An add-on domain is a domain that points to a folder within a website, like for example if your website’s URL is www.yourdomain.com, you can set up an add-on domain such as www.addondomain.com to point to www.yourdomain.com/subdirectory/. Users visiting www.addondomain.com/file.html would actually be seeing www.yourdomain.com/subdirectory/file.html, even though ‘www.addondomain.com/file.html’ would appear as the address in their browser.
It is just easy to add a domain to your web site, check here how you can do that;
* Log into Cpanel> Click on the Add-on Domains button on the home page.
* Enter the domain name in the New Add-on Domain field like if your new domain name is www.addondomain.com enter addondomain.com’ in this box.
* Add the directory that actually the add-on domain will point to in the Username/directory name field. Make sure this directory must NOT currently exist;
* Enter a password for the domain in the password field.
* Click on the Add button. You will get a sequence of messages; and you will notice whether the domain is added successfully or not. If it’s added successfully you can upload your files to the new folder and you will be able to add email addresses, check stats, etc. for this new add-on domain.
